Rocket League Season 22 is not far away now, as the latest update from Epic Games for the “soccar” game releases on March 11 and will directly impact the game’s esports ecosystem before the upcoming Paris Major.
The new season begins just in time for Split 2 of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2026 season, which kicks off with regional esports tournaments later this month following Gentle Mates’ triumph at the Boston Major last week.
And Season 22 will allow Rocket League fans to impact the upcoming Paris Major with the game’s first-ever Bracket Rivals, an in-game event that will decide the match-up for a content creator showmatch at the LAN event.
Between March 20 and 26, Rocket League players will be able to pick up free titles representing the community’s favourite creator duos. The most goals scored by players donning each title will then decide which two influencer teams will get to play on stage in Paris come May.
As well as this new event, the update is also bringing various quality-of-life upgrades to the 10-year-old game. Now, Rocket League players will be able to see their matchmaking rating (MMR) for the first time.
Additionally, the recharge progress for boost pads will now be visible to players, and an indicator to show when your flip reset is off cooldown is being added to the game, too.
