New GTA 6 ‘Leak’ Contains Alleged Footage Forgotten For Years

Grand Theft Auto 6’s prospective fanbase has busied itself poring over a short snippet of the game uncovered in a recent claimed leak. It’s recent in that it was uploaded just one day ago, but according to the user who posted the clip, it’s more than four years old and was captured by a former Rockstar employee during the COVID-19-induced lockdown.

This clip allegedly predates the 2022 leaks that uncovered around 100 GB of footage and data from GTA 6, and while it’s short and sweet, it could reveal a couple of minor details.

Pinch of salt time, folks.

GTA 6 ‘Bridge Leak’ Emerges on Instagram

On Instagram, user ‘vice.city’alligator’ posted a few seconds of footage from a claimed early build of Grand Theft Auto 6. In the clip’s description, the user explained that the quality is ‘absolute s***e’ because it was sent via email years ago and was subjected to intense compression.

They explained: ‘Never thought I’d actually post it cuz its a nothingburger.’

The user then stepped away from the account and requested that nobody ask them any questions because they simply wouldn’t be around to answer them. Right?

Per the bold claim, the clip was sent to the uploader years ago by a former Rockstar employee. It was ‘recorded straight from a dev’s setup during lockdown’, and it shows a bridge over a large inlet, over which a Pißwasser beer truck drives. In the distance, we can see another bridge that seems to have some vehicular traffic coasting over it, which could give us a glimpse at some of the game’s intended scale.

We also see some other content, including a plane coursing through the sky at a substantial height, and a speedboat zipping by just beyond the bridge.

It’s not much, but that’s because it’s years old. It has been pointed out that it wouldn’t be tough to fabricate something like this, but the hopium is strong in this game’s aura.

From what we know, Grand Theft Auto 6 is still on track to be released on November 19. There’s every chance it could be delayed again, but Take-Two has now reiterated on numerous occasions that the date is locked in.
