How To Get Pokémon Game Music Collection—Price & What It Does

Pokémon has plenty of treats up its sleeve for the 30th anniversary of the beloved franchise, including the surprise drop of the Pokémon Game Music Collection.

Showcased during the Pokémon Presents Showcase on Pokémon Day, the Game Music Collection is a new product that caught the eye during the reveal, though there were plenty of unanswered questions.

Insider Gaming has outlined all of the important details on the Pokémon Game Music Collection to help you process the reveal.

The Pokémon Game Music collection is available to buy now from the Pokémon Center worldwide, though there are some purchase restrictions.

As a Pokémon Center Original product, it’s not known yet whether the Game Music Collection will be able to purchase from other websites and marketplaces.

Each account is only allowed to purchase one Pokémon Game Music Collection, but there were no queues immediately at the Pokémon Center like there is for TCG drops, so there shouldn’t be too much hassle getting your hands on it.

What Is The Game Music Collection?

The Pokémon Game Music Collection is a miniature jukebox themed like a Game Boy console, featuring all the music from Pokémon Red and Blue.

The package includes one device, 45 music cartridges, and one storage case, with the cartridges featuring still images from specific points in the games that match the photos.

While the design features a screen and buttons similar to the original Game Boy console, they are decorative only, and the device cannot be used to play games.

How Much is The Game Music Collection?

The Pokémon Game Music collection is priced at $69.99 on the official Pokémon Center website.

This includes the device, the music cartridges, and storage case, alongside the decorative box that the item comes with, which will make you question whether you should even open it.

It’s not clear how long the Pokémon Game Music Collection will be available for, but the price is unlikely to be reduced in the future either way.
