Pokémon Go continues to add new updates, and one of the latest additions is Link Charges, arriving alongside the new Super Mega Raids.
Now in its 10th anniversary year, Pokémon Go still has a flood of content to introduce into the game, with the latest focus being on more Mega Evolution Pokémon, including some first seen in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
If you’re confused about what Link Charges are in Pokémon Go and how to get them, Insider Gaming has all the details.
How to Get Link Charges in Pokémon Go

Link Charges are earned in Pokémon Go in several ways, including completing social activities and via direct purchase in the store.
Completing a Weekly Challenge or checking in to official meetups hosted by Community Ambassadors guarantees a Link Charge as a reward. Other activities, like opening gifts, provide a chance to receive Link Charges as a reward, but it is not guaranteed.

Link Charges will also be available to purchase from the in-game shop or Web Store. However, there’s a maximum amount you can hold at any one time.
When you collect your first Link Charges, you will receive the Link Holder in your Item Bag automatically. This is a new Key Item and cannot be removed.
In the Store, Link Charges are available in bundles of 600, including an option to purchase alongside three Remote Raid Passes.
What Are Link Charges in Pokémon Go?
Link Charges are a new currency item in Pokémon Go that are required to enter Super Mega Raids, and can be used for access to other raids.
When entering a Mega Raid in person, you have the option to use either Link Charges, Raid Passes, or Premium Battle Passes. However, it’s advised that you save your Link Charges for the new Super Mega Raids.
