Nioh 3 has many currencies and resources to collect, and Yokai Teardrops are one of them. As usual, the same questions are there to be asked: What do Yokai Teardrops do, how do you use them, and how do you get more? Luckily for you, we’ve got soul and answers to all questions.
Amrita, Gold, Glory; the list goes on. Nioh 3 expects you to keep on top of all of its currencies, but it’s so easy to fall behind. Yokai Teardrops are far from plentiful, but they are useful.
All Yokai Teardrops Methods In Nioh 3

There are five main ways to get more Yokai teardrops in Nioh 3: Defeat formidable enemies, complete Battle Scroll missions, visit Hot Springs for the first time, complete a Scampuss chase, and defeat Kappa.
Battle Scroll Missions
You can pick Battle Scroll missions from Shrines. You unlock more as you progress through Nioh 3, and successfully doing a mission comes with fabulous rewards. As you might have guessed, Yokai Teardrops are one of the many goodies you can earn, so they’re well worth doing.
Formidable Enemies
Are you not having a hard enough time with Nioh 3’s main bosses? Why not try tracking down formidable foes in the game to make things even harder? You’ll find some of these enemies just as challenging as main bosses, and your reward for defeating them might just include a nice smattering of Yokai Teardrops to replace your real teardrops you shed after dying over and over.

Hot Springs
Take some time out of Tokugawa Takechiyo’s day and treat him to a relaxing Hot Spring. It must be tiresome slogging away at imperious Yokai monsters and legendary Samurai. So, go out of your way to find Hot Springs across the different regions—the Warring States map has a few—and you can enjoy a relaxing mini-spa day with complimentary Yokai Teardrops.
Kappa
You’ll have spied those weird Yokai monsters with treasure-encrusted turtle-shell backs—they are Kappa. Once you engage with one, they suddenly tumble around like an Olympic gymnast. They can be tricky to take down, but if you do, a fountain of loot awaits, along with some Yokai Teardrops.
Scampuss
Nioh’s obsession with Scampuss is hilarious. The anime-esque cats make sure you know they’re near, and almost taunt you to get close. Doing so triggers a chase sequence befitting of a Walt Disney epic. A Scampuss is just as agile as a cat—despite its round figure—and will give you a good runaround. Successfully completing the chase inevitably rewards you with the teardrops you seek.
How To Use Yokai Teardrops In Nioh 3

Yokai Teardrops are used to purchase special goods from Sudama shops in Nioh 3.
Whereas Kodamas are cute and green, Sudamas are cute, but in a demonic way. The purple creatures have gone into the market for themselves, literally, with Sudama stores located in the game.

You can Buy and Sell with Gold, but the shop also has an Exchange feature. This requires Yokai Teardrops to purchase items. You can acquire rarer consumables like Herbal Remedies to replenish your health, which is handy if you’re sick of farming Elixirs!
The best way to access a Sudama shop is by going to the Eternal Rift, as a permanent Sudama shop will eventually be set up there.
