Pokémon Legends: Z-A has well over 200 Pokémon to add to your collection, and Beldum certainly has an argument to be one of the hardest to obtain in the game. Fear not, though, we can tell you the exact location.
While the majority of Pokémon in Legends: Z-A are encountered through Wild Zones in Lumiose City, there are a few exceptions, like Litwick, which have one particular spawn location that is hidden away—and Beldum also falls into that category.
If you’re missing Beldum from your Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, we’ve got all the information you need on the location of the Steel/Psychic Pokémon.
Where to Find Beldum in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Beldum only appears in Lysandre Labs in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, a hidden area of Lumiose City that is unlocked through story progression and can later be revisited.
You’ll first venture into Lysandre Labs in preparation for your promotion fight to Rank A against Grisham, who directs you to the location to learn about the secrets of the Ultimate Weapon. While you explore the zone for the story, it’s the first opportunity you’ll be presented with to encounter and catch Beldum.
Once Lysandre Labs has been unlocked through story progression, you can revisit the location at any point to explore the area and catch new Pokémon, with the likes of Houndoom, Manetric, Arbok, and Noivern all lurking in the depths of the labs waiting for you to stroll by.
The fast-travel point for Lysandre Labs is Lysandre Cafe, near Wild Zone 7. Make sure you head in with plenty of Ultra Balls, as Beldum and its evolution line have some of the lowest catch rates in the game.
Can You Catch Metang & Metagross in Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
Yes, both Metang and Metagross are available to be caught separately in Pokémon Legends: Z-A if you’re looking to fast-track your Pokédex completion.
Metang is found in exactly the same location as its pre-evolution, Beldum, in Lysandre Labs, and has a chance of spawning alongside Beldum in this spot. In our experience, the Beldum spawn location has three Pokémon spawns, which are most likely to result in a Beldum appearance, but can also spawn a Metang too.
Metagross, meanwhile, can only be encountered in the wild once you’ve completed the main story and progressed into the post-game. Completing the game unlocks Wild Zone 20, where Metagross can appear as an Alpha Pokémon beneath the ruins of what used to be Prism Tower.
There’s a long list of Pokémon that can spawn as Alphas in this spot; however, with the likes of Tyranitar, Chandelure, and Leafeon all having the potential of appearing, among others.
Don’t forget, though, the spawn location for Alpha Pokémon in Wild Zone 20 will be blocked if Zygarde is waiting to battle you, and will not spawn until the Legendary Pokémon has been defeated and caught.
