The Little Nightmares series isn’t usually jam-packed with chapters and hours of content that will eat up most weekends. That said, Little Nightmares 3 is the longest entry to date, so let’s check how many chapters it is, what they are, and give you the latest on the Secrets of The Spiral Expansion DLC on the way.
In Little Nightmares 3, you have a fresh online co-op adventure featuring two new characters: Low and Alone. This means a brand-new adventure, and never-before-seen chapters and worlds to explore. We’ve already dissected the game’s length and how long we anticipate it will take you to complete the game—as we were lucky enough to review it!
Let’s take a deeper dive into the game’s chapters and The Secrets of The Spiral Expansion.
How Many Chapters in Little Nightmares 3?

Little Nightmares 3 has four chapters at launch, and is gaining an additional two chapters through the Secrets of The Spiral Expansion DLC.
Even from the game’s home screen, once you boot the game up for the first time, you can check out the chapter select function. Here, it shows you the mirrors for each chapter. However, you will only be able to see ‘Necropolis’ for the time being.
Thankfully, we’ve played and finished the game, and know the remaining chapter biomes.

Again, at launch, there are four main chapters in Little Nightmares 3: Necropolis, Candy Factory, Carnevale, and the Institute.
Three chapters have the same number of dolls to find, but Chapter 3—Carnevale—is the biggest in the game, and has more hidden away. Take a look at everything available so far to give you some background information.
| Chapter Number | Chapter Name | Dolls To Collect |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Necropolis | 5 |
| 2 | Candy Factory | 5 |
| 3 | Carnevale | 10 |
| 4 | The Institute | 5 |
Secrets of The Spiral Expansion Release Details & Contents
Bandai Namco has said Secrets of The Spiral Expansion brings two additional chapters “available at a later date,” and the DLC expansion also adds a new costume set.
Unfortunately, the publisher is being tight-lipped on the DLC for now. But here’s what Bandai has to say about the DLC:
“While not essential to the main story, these additional tales enrich the experience and let you uncover hidden secrets, new perspectives, and unexpected horrors.”
Like the rest of the game, we expect Secrets of The Spiral to be a continuation of the fine groundwork laid down by Little Nightmares 3. If you enjoy mixing up Low and Alone’s outfits, then the Ferryman Costumes Set is the perfect accompaniment for you to play dress up!
Hopefully, we don’t have to wait too long for the Secrets of The Spiral Expansion. Will you be replaying Little Nightmares 3 multiple times? Are you on the hunt for every trophy and achievement in the game? Drop a comment and also tell us through the Insider Gaming forum.
We also have guides on all Necropolis Chapter 1 Dolls, all Candy Factory Chapter 2 Dolls, and the Complete Trophy List.
