How To Get Convoy Access Cards in Dying Light: The Beast

Dying Light: The Beast introduces a new mechanic to players: Convoy Access Cards. In previous games, players would simply stroll up to a convoy, unlock a door using a lockpick, and hey presto. In this game, it’s a little different, and I’m here to teach you how to get Convoy Access Cards in Dying Light: The Beast as quickly as possible.

It’s not all that complex, but if you miss an early-game tutorial, you might be wondering how to open a convoy in Dying Light: The Beast.

This is how.

How to Open Convoys in Dying Light: The Beast

To open a convoy in Dying Light: The Beast, you need to first find a Convoy Access Card. They’re easy enough to find, as they’ll be in the possession of soldiers lurking near every convoy you find. If you’re lucky, you’ll find more than one soldier roaming, and you typically get a Convoy Access Card for every soldier zombie slaughtered.

Simply kill them (it’s up to you how) and loot their corpse to obtain the Convoy Access Card item.

Every Convoy Access Card is a one-time use item, so you’ll sacrifice it to open a convoy and pilfer whatever loot sits within.

However, you can stack the item, so if you find a few, you can bank them and run around convoys, looting them as and when needed.

Convoys are pretty important in Dying Light: The Beast, as they contain high-tier weapons, ammunition, rare loot, and throwables, amongst other things. They’re almost always guarded by heavier enemies with some ferocious fighting abilities, so make sure you clear the area (and claim stacks of experience points) before digging around in the convoy itself.

That’s all you need to know about how to get Convoy Access Cards in Dying Light: The Beast. Happy hunting!
