Roblox’s popular Grow A Garden hit staggering new heights over the weekend, boasting a concurrent player count that surpasses anything ever achieved on Steam.
First released two months ago, Grow A Garden tasks players with, you guessed it, managing their garden by planting different seeds, selling the fruits and vegetables grown, with growth continuing while players are offline.
It has become an instant hit amongst the Roblox player base, with an astonishing new record of over 11 million concurrent players on May 31, which included almost five million new visits to the experience.
Roblox’s statistics show that the game has had over 4.3 billion visits since its launch, with an active player base of just under 2.6 million and nearly two million favourites.
To put this into perspective, SteamDB shows the highest ever all-time peak of any title on Steam is PUBG: Battlegrounds, which hit 3.2 million seven years ago and remains the only Steam game ever to boast more than three million concurrent players.

Roblox’s free-to-play approach and young player base certainly help Grow A Garden’s numbers, though it’s still impressive to make such an impact given the thousands of experiences that are available within the game.
According to IGN, Grow A Garden was first developed by a 16-year-old in “just a few days” but has since been acquired by Splitting Point, who are also behind the popular Gunfight Arena and A Dusty Car Trip experiences on Roblox.
There seems to be no end in sight for Grow A Garden’s popularity, and now with the backing of an experienced group of Roblox developers, players can expect further updates, events, and content to arrive in the title.
