Oblivion Remastered was revealed on April 22. One concern fans of the Elder Scrolls franchise had was centred around the platforms that Oblivion Remastered would be released on, prompting the question, ‘Is Oblivion Remastered coming to PS5?’ It’s a fair question, as Bethesda Game Studios is wholly owned by Microsoft.
Let’s find out if you can get Oblivion Remastered on PS5.
Will The Oblivion Remake Be on PS5?
It has been confirmed by Bethesda Game Studios that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is available on PlayStation 5.
It’s also available on the Game Pass subscription service on both PC and Xbox Series X|S.
Oblivion Remastered was originally thought to be an Oblivion remake, but a series of leaks revealed that’s not the case. It looks fantastic from what we’ve seen in the game’s first trailer, and we now know it’s effectively a top-to-bottom rebuild of the entire game, even though many original elements still exist.
Bethesda Game Studios and Virtuos have adjusted combat, stealth, and archery mechanics, as well as making the game feel more ‘modern’ in general.
When is Oblivion Remastered Coming Out?
Oblivion Remastered is out now!
It came as a surprise with Bethesda Game Studios revealing the shadowdrop during the 20-minute reveal of the game on April 22. If you want to buy The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on PS5, you’ll need to pay $49.99. It’s on the Xbox Game Pass service, but that doesn’t apply to PlayStation-based gamers.
That $49.99 is a worthwhile investment, as the game comes with all DLC and stacks of extra content added for the remaster.
