RLCS day one has officially concluded with the Swiss bracket being held today. With 16 teams competing against each other, only three qualified for tomorrow’s event. With only two days left to the competition, the 2024 Rocket League Championship Series is making out to be quite eventful.
3 Teams Qualified from the Day 1 of 2024 RLCS Swiss Bracket
The event, which is being held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, held a Swiss bracket today, with 16 teams competing against each other. Matches were first to three, with three players on each team. Some of the top competitors in the world face off against each other.
Only three teams, however, were able to qualify for tomorrow’s Playoffs.
Throughout the day, the competition became nail-biting. It was tough at times to know who was going to advance forward, with many matches ending with a 3-2 score.
The final matches, though, of the Swiss bracket, were held between these three teams:
- PWR vs. M8
- Team Vitality vs. Oxygen Esports
- Spacestation Gaming vs. QuikTrip Pioneers Gaming
The PWR vs. M8 series ended in a sweep, as M8 won 3-0, advancing them to tomorrow’s Playoffs. The same can be said for Spacestation Gaming vs. QuikTrip Pioneers Gaming, as Spacestation Gaming also swept the opposing team.
Team Vitality, however, put up a bit of a fight against Oxygen Esports, as the team lost 3-1.
All 2024 RLCS Teams Advancing from Swiss Bracket to Playoffs
Here are the three teams that are advancing to Playoffs from the Swiss bracket:
- M8
- Spacestation Gaming
- Team Vitality
RLCS Playoffs Begin Tomorrow
Tomorrow (September 14, 2024) is when the Playoffs begin, with various teams set to compete against one another. The day will begin with both an Upper Bracket Quarterfinals and a Lower Bracket Round 1.
The entirety of the RLCS 2024 tournament has a $1,165,500 prize pool, with first place winning $300,000.
After the Playoffs pull through multiple rounds, the Grand Final will be held this Sunday, September 15, 2024.
