REPORT: 100 Thieves To Build CDL ‘Superteam’ Based on Scrap and HyDra

It has been claimed that 100 Thieves, which is represented in the Call of Duty League by the LA Thieves, is looking to assemble a so-called ‘superteam’ for the new season. In a report online published by Breaking Point, it was claimed that HyDra, Envoy, Scrap, and Ghosty are exploring this option ahead of the CDL 2025 season.

The Mightiest

Per the report published on social media by Breaking Point, Toronto Ultra’s Scrap and Cloud9’s HyDra are eager to team up in the new season. It was also claimed that the remaining two slots would be occupied by Envoy (Ultra) and Ghosty, who already owns a spot on the LA Thieves roster.

There’s no doubt that this would represent one of the nastiest power squads in the Call of Duty League.

HyDra is often considered one of the best Call of Duty players of all time in terms of raw skill and gunny. He’s known as the French Phenon for a reason, and in the 2023 season, he was instrumental in the New York Subliners winning two Majors and COD Champs.

In 2023, Thomas ‘Scrap’ Ernst won Rookie of the Year, going on to become a force to be reckoned with and earning some of the highest and most consistent ratings out of any pro COD player ever. He’s a bit inflammatory, but the fans love it.

Envoy, who has been dubbed ‘The Prince’, and Dan ‘Ghosty’ Rothe are both stellar competitors with plenty to offer any team in the CDL. Envoy and Scrap have teamed for an entire year, which gives them valuable chemistry, and Ghosty has been serving as a fine IGL for a long time.

There are a few blockers, though. Per Breaking Point, the budget to arrange this move would be ‘challenging’ at best, and it would of course require several buy-outs, some of which (HyDra and Scrap) might be exorbitant.

This is the reality of rostermania – you never know what’s going to happen next.
