First-person in Fortnite has been a topic that has been discussed for months, with previous leaks suggesting that the mode could be coming this season. Unfortunately, the first-person mode is yet to be seen in Fortnite, but when is it coming?
When is First-Person Mode Coming to Fortnite?
On March 16, it was confirmed by Epic Games that Fortnite Creative 2.0 will finally be released on March 22, but there’s still been no mention of first-person. According to prominent Fortnite leakers, the feature is reportedly set to come to the game in Chapter 4, Season 2. But so far, no official confirmation from Epic Games has been released.
It’s possible that first-person could release in Fortnite during the Fortnite Creative 2.0 update, but if not, we could see it released during Chapter 4, Season 3. Leaked information changes all of the time (it’s why they are called leaks), so having a first-person mode release near the time that was leaked makes a lot of sense.
What is Fortnite First-Person?
As the name suggests, Fortnite first-person will be a mode in Fortnite played from the first-person perspective. Currently, Fortnite is only played from the over-the-shoulder perspective, which is called third-person.
Such a huge change will completely change the dynamic of the game and some fans believe it’s the next step for the Fortnite series in its continuous evolution. As for if it will do well remains to be seen, but its no-build mode has become popular with fans. This indicates that Fortnite players are accepting of huge changes to the game.
What is Fortnite?
Fortnite is one of the biggest games in the world and currently features three different game modes. The main mode, referenced in this article is Fortnite Battle Royale, which is a free-to-play battle royale game that involves up to 100 players competing to be the last survivor. Fortnite: Save the World is a cooperative game that combines tower defense-shooting and survival elements, allowing four players to defend objects with traps and fortifications while fighting off zombie-like creatures. Lastly, Fortnite Creative mode offers players the opportunity to design their own worlds and battle arenas without any restrictions.
