Everything you need to know about Funrize
Before exploring the best Funrize alternative social casinos, we first have to detail everything you need to know about Funrize. Keep reading to see how the sweepstakes gaming experience works on the brand, including the gameplay options at Funrize, the bonuses and promotions and the types of casino-style games.
Is Funrize a real money online casino?
As shared in our Funrize review, there is no real money gaming at the platform. Instead, all gameplay is free as Funrize follows the sweepstakes mode. Unlike most sweepstakes casinos that have standard Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC) terminology, Funrize has gone with branded terms, and the Gold Coins are referred to as Tournament Coins (TC) and Sweeps Coins as Promotional Entries (PE).
- Tournament Coins are used for fun and have no monetary value. You can receive TC with several bonuses and promotions, plus also by making optional TC purchases.
- Promotional Entries are used for entering sweepstakes mode and are considered the more important virtual currency. PE winnings can be redeemed for real money prizes once the relevant requirements are met. While you are not allowed to make PE purchases, you can receive free PE with some of the Funrize bonuses.
Casino-style slots and live dealer titles
The primary gaming genre at Funrize is slot titles. There are 200+ casino-style slot games available from reputable software providers. You will find slot titles from NetGame, Penguin King, Evoplay and Betsoft. There are plenty of different slot genres to play with your Tournament Coins and Promotional Entries, including Megaways, Hold and Wins, Bonus Games and Classics.
Based on our sweepstakes gameplay, some of our favorite casino-style slot games that we recommend you try are:
- Clover Potter: Power Coins
- Jackpot Joker Fever
- Cash Coin
- Crack More Piggy Banks
- Velvet Gems
When Funrize Casino first launched, it offered only casino-style slot games. However, recently, with the addition of new software developers, the social casino gaming portfolio has shifted. Now, there are some table and live dealer games, including roulette, blackjack and baccarat. There are around 20 casino-style tables and live games, with popular titles including Dragon Tiger, Grand Bonus Baccarat, Gravity Blackjack, and Andar Bahar.
A plethora of bonuses and promotions
Currently, Funrize welcomes all new players with a ‘no-purchase’ offer of up to 125,000 Tournament Coins. Once you complete your registration, you will unlock 75,000 TC. For the remaining 50,000 TC, you must:
- Verify your email to receive 10,000 TC
- Verify your phone number to get 25,000 TC
- Complete your profile to unlock 15,000 TC
Funrize Casino has plenty of promotions for existing players, including a progressive daily login bonus, prize wheel free spins, referral bonus, and a mail-in bonus. We have detailed the main promotions below:

| AMoE | Follow the mail-in bonus rules, and you can receive 1 Promotional Entry for every approved PE handwritten letter request. |
| Referral bonus | Once your friends sign up using your referral link and make qualifying optional TC purchases, both you and your friends can claim a referral bonus of up to 900,000 Tournament Coins and 25 free Promotional Entries. |

Fortune Wheelz – Diverse casino-style slot genres
First up we have Fortune Wheelz, a trusted sweepstakes casino. New players at Fortune Wheelz Casino are welcomed with a ‘no-purchase’ offer of 250,000 Gold Coins. You have access to a much bigger social casino gaming lobby than Funrize, with around 900 titles. The casino-style games are available from leading developers like Novomatic and Booming Games.
You can play any title for fun with your Gold Coins and in sweepstakes mode with your Fortune Coins (same as Sweeps Coins). We enjoyed the exciting sweepstakes slot gameplay, and some of our go-to titles were Rich Piggies, Greek Fortunes, Thunder Fishing, Luxor Relics Hold and Win, and Wild Buffalo Bonus Buy.
SpinQuest – A comprehensive social casino lobby
If you are looking for a sweepstakes casino with a wider range of social casino gaming options, we recommend SpinQuest. When we joined the site, we were welcomed with a ‘no-purchase’ offer of 100,000 Gold Coins and 2 Sweeps Coins. Thereafter, we visited the casino-style lobby and found over 1,000 social casino games. Similar to Funrize, there are tables and social live casino games, but additional genres cover Plinko, scratch cards, crash titles and craps.
We spent time playing a bit of every social casino gaming genre at SpinQuest Casino and all games were easy to play in standard and sweepstakes mode and all outcomes were fair and random thanks to Random Number Generator (RNG) technology.
CrownCoins Casino – Bonuses galore for everyone
When we looked for alternatives to Funrize, we found CrownCoins Casino, which offers more availability. Currently, you can register as a CrownCoins Casino player and claim the free sign up offer of 100,000 Crown Coins and 2 Sweeps Coins, if you are 18+ and from an available US state. CrownCoins Casino is available in 40+ US states, excluding California, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New York, and Washington.

When you bring your buddies to the brand you can score a referral bonus of up to 400,000 Crown Coins and 20 Sweeps Coins. Other standout promos include the VIP program and the AMoE bonus, and all of these rewards provide you with plenty of Crown Coins and Sweeps Coins to play the hundreds of casino-style slot games.
McLuck – Sweepstakes gaming on the go
McLuck social casino is up next and there are bonuses galore plus several excellent social casino mobile gaming platforms. You have access to hundreds of exciting casino-style games at McLuck, and you can play these titles on the go thanks to the mobile platforms. There are dedicated McLuck social casino apps available from the App Stores, plus an excellent mobile-optimized website compatible with Android and iOS devices.

Stake.us had a complete social casino gaming library with slots, table games, social live casino titles and even Originals. One of the best casino-style genres are the Stake Originals, and these are in-house developed titles that you will not find at any other sweepstakes casino. We enjoyed playing every title and recommend you try Mines, Plinko, Limbo and Dice.

A comprehensive guide of what to look for when evaluating sites like Funrize
While we have already shared our top Funrize alternative platforms, we want to also educate you on how to find your own favorite social casinos. Beside casino-style games, and bonuses and promotions, you also have to critique brands on other features as well.
Below is a guide on what else we evaluate based on our sweepstakes casino selection criteria:
Customer support
Customer support plays a key role for any social casino, and no player wants to get stuck and struggle with claiming bonuses or making an SC prize redemption. When evaluating support at sweepstakes casinos, ensure there are diverse options such as live chat, email, phone support, social media channels, and a FAQ page. Also, spend some time testing the support and determine whether the agents are friendly, knowledgeable and provide accurate feedback.
One of the sites like Funrize that we covered, Stake.us, have a detailed customer support platform for players. When you scroll to the bottom of the homepage you will find the relevant links to the Help Center and Live Support. We used the support at the social casino, and our emails were responded to within a few hours, and the agents resolved our queries.
Responsible gaming
Even though you are not required to make optional Gold Coins purchases at sweepstakes casinos, you should still remember to be careful when purchasing a GC bundle and also to play casino-style games responsibly. The top platforms will have a dedicated responsible gaming page, such as SpinQuest, which has a comprehensive ‘Responsible Social Gameplay’ page covering all aspects of responsible gaming.
When you access a social casino responsible gaming page, there should be details about how to identify problem gaming, plus access to the available tools to address the issue. These responsible gaming tools should cover session limits, GC purchase limits, timeouts, and self-exclusion options, allowing you to take a break from your sweepstakes gameplay.
Fair sweepstakes rules
The sweepstakes rules govern the social casino and its players. The rules are there to safeguard the brand from players abusing bonuses and to protect players from platforms that manipulate the rules, fail to process SC prize redemptions, or fail to award bonuses. You will find the terms and conditions for sweepstakes gameplay at the bottom of the homepage and generally under the ‘Sweepstakes Rules’ banner as found when using the McLuck website. However, some sites only allow players to access their sweepstakes rules page after logging in, similar to the experience at Fortune Wheelz.
All sweepstakes rules must be fair and clearly stated. Key topics covered with the sweepstakes rules include the KYC verification process, the number of times your Sweeps Coins winnings must be played, and the minimum and maximum SC prize redemption limits.
Encrypted banking platform
You should only use social casinos that have an encrypted banking platform. All of the sites like Funrize, we have covered in this page have an encrypted banking platform for players. With an encrypted platform, all of your GC purchases and SC prize redemptions are safe and secure. There should also be a variety of payment methods available for GC purchases, including Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, and PayPal.
Once you comply with the relevant sweepstakes rules, you should be allowed to redeem your SC winnings for real money prizes. Based on our research, legitimate brands will not charge you to redeem an SC prize (such as gift vouchers and cash prizes). However, please note that you can only redeem an SC cash prize to your registered bank account, not to a third-party account.
Sweepstakes mobile gameplay
Playing on a desktop is not the only option for sweepstakes gameplay. Today, many sites offer comprehensive sweepstakes mobile gameplay options, including dedicated apps and mobile-optimized websites. Take CrownCoins Casino, for example, where you can play casino-style games on the go with the iOS app available from the App Store or directly from the mobile website, which is compatible with iOS and Android devices.
When we critique the sweepstakes mobile gaming options, we verify that the same features available with the desktop site are also included with the mobile platforms, plus investigate the additional mobile features like push notifications and casino-style game performances on a smaller device.
Why diversify your sweepstakes gameplay and look for alternatives to Funrize
While Funrize is a nice option for players, to maximize your sweepstakes gameplay you should diversify and try other sites. Five of our recommended platforms are Fortune Wheelz, SpinQuest, CrownCoins Casino, McLuck, and Stake.us, and each is available in most US states.
We were impressed with the sweepstakes gameplay at each of these sites, and there are hundreds of casino-style games, fair and clear sweepstakes rules and plenty of bonuses for new and existing players. You can use the links or banners on this page to sign up with any of our recommended alternative social casinos to Funrize.
