As part of its sweepstakes model, Dorados allows you to collect and redeem Gems, the site’s equivalent to Sweeps Coins (SC). So looking for Dorados free SC makes complete sense, since you’ll need 50+ before you can request a redemption.
This is where we come in – we’ve done the research and have found all the ways you can get free Gems at this sweepstakes casino site. This guide tells you everything you need to know about where you can find Gems and what you’ll need to do to unlock them. So, let’s review the free Dorados Gems offers.
What are Dorados free Gems?
If you’ve checked out our Dorados Casino review, you’ll know the site uses a sweepstakes model, where you play games for free using virtual currencies. These virtual currencies include Gold Coins (GC) and Gems, the brand’s version of Sweeps Coins.
Gems are ultimately more popular because you can redeem them for real prizes, but they’re also a lot harder to get hold of. They also come with several terms and conditions, which we will discuss a little further on.
How Dorados Gems differs from GC
To fully understand the excitement over Dorados Casino free virtual coins, it is best to get to know how they work and how they differ.
Gold Coins
Gold Coins, or GC, are one of two virtual currencies you can play with at Dorados. They have no monetary value, and because you can only play games with them, they’re a lot easier to find. Dorados gives you free Gold Coins through a range of bonuses, but you can also get them by playing games or by making GC bundle purchases.
Gems
The second virtual currency you’ll play with at Dorados is Gems. These, like GC, have no monetary value, but if you collect 50 or more of them and play through them 1x, you can redeem them for real prizes. But, Dorados doesn’t make this easy. You can gather Gems for free as part of GC bundles, claim them as part of bonuses, or win them playing games.
How to get your hands on Gems
There are several ways to get your hands on Dorados free Gems, from claiming promos and playing games in Promotional Mode. You can also get them as a freebie as part of a GC bundle purchase. So, here is a comprehensive list of all the ways you can get your hands on these coveted Gems at Dorados.
Sign up and claim the Dorados welcome offer
Just by signing up and joining the sweepstakes casino, you can unlock a welcome offer that gives you 20,000 GC, 2 Gems, and 2 Elixir. The best part is you don’t need a Dorados promo code to access the promo, as the site automatically adds it to your account. Just remember, you’ll need to play through the 2 Gems before you can redeem them.
Use the mail-in request
While there isn’t a Dorados no deposit bonus up for grabs, this offer is as close as you can get. You can get a minimum of 2 free Gems by sending a handwritten request to the Dorados head office. Compared to other sites that usually offer only 1 Gems, this is a fair promo.
Play the claw machine
If you collect enough Elixir, you can swap it for claw machine credits. This gives you a chance to use the claw machine to try your hand at winning 1 free Gem and 30 free spins.
Participate in tournaments
Dorados hosts multiple tournaments that you can participate in. Players who win these tournaments get their share of the prize pool, which offers anywhere up to 1 million GC and 2,500 Gems.
Take part in the Dorados Game
Here, you can play against others on the leaderboard for prizes that include Elixir, Gold Coins, and Gems. Since you’re using Gems to play, here, you won’t need to play through them again before you can use them for redemption.
Join the Dorados VIP club
Signing up for this 5-tier VIP program allows you to collect points based on your gameplay. The more you play, the more points you gather. This allows you to move up the rungs, unlocking all kinds of exclusive offers and perks, which include free Gems.
Freebies in GC Bundles
While you won’t unlock any free Gems as part of the Dorados daily login bonus, you can get them as a freebie when you purchase GC bundles. Depending on the GC package you choose, you can get anywhere from 5 free Gem up to 1,000 free Gems.
Quick recap
This table outlines the Dorados free Gems you can get from the options we mentioned above, so you can browse them at a glance:

Redeeming Dorados Casino Gems
One of the things we love most about Dorados is that it offers a much lower redemption rate than other sweepstakes casinos. Where most require you to have collected at least 100 Sweeps Coins, Dorados only requires you to have at least 50 Gems.
It is worth remembering that most of the Dorados free Gems you collect will need to be played through 1x before they are eligible for redemption. But once you have met these requirements, you can go ahead with the process.
If you haven’t redeemed Gems on Dorados before, here’s what to do:
- Make sure you’re signed in to your Dorados profile
- Visit the “Redemptions” page
- Choose your redemption method from the available options
- Enter your redemption amount
- Provide your banking information and confirm your request.
Pros and cons of Dorados free Gems
Finding and unlocking Dorados Gems makes it easier to reach your redemption goals, while providing a little more of a challenge, and giving you access to all the site’s games. Here are the pros and cons we found when claiming free SC:
- Low minimum requirement of 50 Gems
- Participate in challenges and races for up to 2,500 free Gems
- Offers a mail-in promo that gives you up to 2 Gems
- Quick and easy redemption process
- All free Gems must be played through 1x
How to make the most of your free Gems
Finding Dorados free Gems not only gets you closer to a chance of redeeming prizes, but it also gamifies your overall experience by giving you the extra challenge of having to find and unlock these Gems. Dorados doesn’t make accessing its Gems easy, so with that in mind, here are our top tips for maximizing these free Gems:
- Meet the playthrough requirements – All Gems collected through bonuses or GC bundles must be played through 1x before you can use them towards redemption.
- Make sure you have collected enough – Your redemption will be denied if you submit a request before you have collected 50 or more Gems.
- Send mail-in requests early – These requests can take weeks before they’re approved. If you’re waiting for them to boost your collected Gems, make sure you use this option early on.
- Play games in promotional mode – Playing games in Promotional mode allows you to play through your existing Gems and potentially win more.
- Collect Elixir – Elixir is much easier to get your hands on, and you can exchange it for claw machine credits, which you can use to collect more Gems.
Free Gems at Dorados – they’re worth finding
Dorados makes it challenging to get your hands on additional Gems (again, this is the site’s version of Sweeps Coins), but there are plenty of ways to build up your collection, even if it’s slowly. The sweepstakes casino offers free Gems as part of GC bundles and a range of promos. But you’ll need to play through these at least once. The low minimum redemption amount of 50+ Gems left us pleasantly surprised, since it’s far lower than that applied by other competitor sites.
