Xbox is holding its Tokyo Games Show 2024 Broadcast on Thursday!

DATE/TIME: September 26, 3AM PT/ 6am ET/11am BST/7pm JST

WHAT TO EXPECT: Updates from various Xbox Game Studios games including from Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda, and more. Xbox will also "showcase an exciting lineup of games from third-party partners primarily based in Japan and across Asia, including games coming to Xbox Game Pass."

HOW TO WATCH: English broadcast embedded below, or via Xbox YouTube and Twitch

With Xbox having no presence in Japan (or maybe even negative presence), I won't hold out for a big showing at all. Maybe some Final Fantasy games?

Very interesting they haven't announced a new Halo, Gears or Forza 🤔...

IMO MS should try to make a Halo RPG in same vein as Mass Effect. It certainly has that potential.

That being said I hope those FF pixel remaster discs get restock please 😭😭😭!!!

I personally would love to see a new Halo come out sooner than later. However, is the love for Halo still there? Or after nearly 25 years, is it time to move on from the series? I hope not, but at some point, those of us playing Halo for the past 25 years have got older, and the new generations might not even know or care about Halo (or other franchises that are 25+ years old).

You do wonder, in 20 years time what games from today will have built up that following. Suppose thats for a whole other discussion topic.

Good solid show with Threads of Time being the highlight in general. Not for me but looks amazing. Getting the Square Enix JRPG's is good. I already completed Trials of Mana years ago when it released for PlayStation 4 but it's good that it's on Game Pass for those who haven't played it. Same for the other Mana game. The FF pixel remasters look really good but not for me. I don't understand why some people out there are complaining about the price. It's 6 games for $60 as it's on sale for 20% off as the regular price is $75. $10 a game that have been remastered seems pretty good when the original games were $60 or so each? Good overall show though. Microsoft just needs to continue what they're doing in regards to Asian game support.

Not an Xbox guy myself but iirc there haven't been a Gears a game for like 5 years or more now right dude?

Anyway I hope MS take cues from Space Marine 2 (haven't played it don't have PS5 lol) because of the success of that game.

From the outside looking in IMO Gears should go open world or "open space", sort of like Starfield, where you can fight other aliens & monsters besides locust guys.

Just my opinion thanks Alph!

Gears of War: E-Day was announced this past June during the Xbox Games Showcase. It's a prequel and should be back to what Gears should be, an 8-12 hour linear action packed third person cover based shooter. In no way, shape or form should Gears ever be open world. Gears of War 5 two open areas were the worse aspects of the game because it just doesn't work. Rumored release date is Fall 2026 as a launch title for the next generation Xbox console. I for one am super hyped.
