What Does Bonus Buy Mean?
A Bonus Buy slot triggers the bonus round at an added cost.
To start the feature, you must boost your bet with the Bonus Buy option.
Be sure to read the details of the Bonus Buy element.
Some slot games will allow you to pay around 50-100x the bet to trigger the round.
The total multiplier will vary based on the game you select.
Instead of waiting for the symbol combination to trigger free spins, you can immediately access the bonus round.
How To Buy The Bonus On Slots
- Open a slot game with the Bonus Buy Feature.
- Click on the game tab and review your options.
- Some games will ask you to confirm your bet change.
- Once the Bonus Buy is activated, the free spin round begins!
The Bonus Buy tab is typically next to the game grid.
Look for a square that includes the words BONUS BUY.
You can purchase the round more than once, and the amount will change based on your selected bet.
Double Bonus vs. Bonus Buy
It’s important to note that some games have Bonus Buy, and others have Double Bonus.
You need to understand the difference between the two so you won’t be confused.
Games like Gates of Olympus offer a Double Bonus where you can increase your bet per spin for a chance to trigger the bonus round.
Essentially, a Double Bonus costs more to give you better odds of hitting the bonus round. Bonus Buy gives you direct access to the round.
Both work well, but one may cost more than the other. It makes more sense to pay more to directly enter the bonus round instead of paying more in the hopes of triggering the round if your budget affords it.
It is also important to remember that games play with a random numbered generator and payouts are provided at random.
Gameplay, in general, is a risk, so even if you trigger the bonus round on your own, you are not guaranteed a win.

Is Bonus Buy Worth It?
This question has no true answer as it depends on the game outcome and player preference.
In general, slot games use an RNG to determine the random outcome of every game.
Many slot games include Bonus Buy with options to trigger free spins with wilds, multipliers, and other extras. Even if you trigger the round automatically, you don’t know if you will win.
By playing at random with no Bonus Buy, you also don’t know the outcome. You could play for an hour and never hit the bonus round.
You will need to determine if you can afford the Bonus Buy option.
If you do gain a win, perhaps consider using the prize you won to pay for the Bonus Buy to see how the feature plays out.
With so many elements at play, it’s difficult to determine if a Bonus Buy feature is worth the effort.
We suggest you try the option based on your budget with a few games to see the outcome. Hopefully, it will provide a few wins via extra incentives as you play.
Where Is Bonus Buy Banned?
Bonus Buy features may be offered on slot games, but many jurisdictions or countries have banned the element.
Players in countries like the UK cannot access the extra feature. In the US, players can find the Bonus Buy option via slot games at various real money casinos.
It can be difficult to find games with a Bonus Buy feature. We suggest you start with the games above to get a feel for the unique gaming element.
Other Types Of Slots
Along with Bonus Buy slots, there are other types of games you can consider for your reel-spinning sessions. Progressives and penny slots are quality alternatives.
Progressives offer even more win potential with one or more jackpots that grow as you play. Penny games help you stay on budget with low-cost gaming.
Check out more on both game types to see which type of slot you should try next!
